This year’s graduation committee for Georges P. Vanier has left successive committees a legacy fund, to help with charitable causes.

“They left $1,500 for forthcoming graduation services,” says Michelle Morin, the chairperson for the 2018 GPV graduation committee. “It will stay there for startup for graduation committees as a legacy fund.”

For this year, the committee donated $1,033.32 to In the Woods Animal Rescue, and an equal amount to Smoky River Family and Community Support Services, for the food bank.

The committee also purchased a legacy stone for the Richardson Pioneer Spray Park in Falher, as well as four trees for GPV.
