The main gym at Ecole Routhier in Falher was the scene of lots of tables filled with science experiments and art works.
The annual science and art fair was held there in the evening of April 7.
Students in Grades K-6 participated and there were 31 entries in total for the two categories.
All the students received participation certificates. The students in Grades 4-6 were evaluated for their experiments.
The winners of the art category were:
1. Nathaniel Reid.
2. Brett Heckbert.
3. Tia Fortin.
The winners of the science category were:
1. Layne Cuthbertson and Wyatt Cuthbertson.
2. Joshua Chailler.
3. Simon Garant.
Those who gave their time for the science and art fair were: Jackie Cuthbertson, the organizer; Melissa Portelance, master of ceremonies; and judges Kristen Blanchette, Heather Servant and Bob Owens for the science fair, and Chantal Nicolet for the art fair.
Tia Fortin with her clay animals. She created various types and put them on boards depicting their environments. The clay animals included fish, snakes and crocodiles.
