The Falher Curling Club held their annual general meeting at the Falher Regional Recreation Complex on Oct. 5 and plans are under way for the 2016/17 season.

Alain Blanchette read the minutes of the AGM in 2015 and Charles Simoneau read the treasurer’s report.

Several bon spiels are being planned for 2016/17. The first will be Nov. 18-20, but the theme still has to be determined. The men’s and ladies bon spiel will be held Jan. 13-15 and the Farmers’ Bon Spiel will be held Feb. 11-13.

Also, the Falher Curling Club will host the Peace Curling Association’s districts, masters and juveniles tournament during Jan. 27-29.

The weekly schedule for play will be as follows:

. Mondays for Learn to Curl.
. Tuesdays for the Fun League.
. Wednesdays, the Afterschool Program, beginning on Nov. 16.
. Thursdays, the Super League.
. Fridays, open.

Fees will remain the same this season and the board of directors approved a motion to this effect.

Blanchette will submit his ‘Behind the Hack’ columns to the Express this season .
