During their meeting on Feb. 8, council for the Town of Falher presented a cheque in the amount of $2,150 to Glenda Farnden of the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service Foundation.
It is the municipality’s $2 per capita contribution to the air ambulance service for 2016.
Farnden works as the Senior Municipal Relations Liaison for the foundation in Grande Prairie.
Falher’s participation in grant application approved
Council approved the municipality’s participation in a grant application for the purchase of a new garbage truck and related waste bins.
The Town of Falher – along with the Town of McLennan, Village of Donnelly, the Village of Girouxville and the Smoky River Regional Waste Commission – is seeking money under the Alberta Community Partnership Grant for the purchase.
