During their meeting on Oct. 11, the council for the Town of Falher gave second and third readings for the Municipal Development Plan.
A public hearing was held prior to the meeting, but no one spoke for or against the plan.
Council also announced that a contest will be held to rename the Central Area Subdivision.
The winner will receive a season’s swim pass and a library pass. The contest will be open to Falher residents only and further details will be announced.
Mackenzie Municipal Services Agency contract extension
Council approved a three-year contract extension for the MMSA’s services. The contract is valid through December 31, 2019.
Council approves two administration agreements
Council approved an administration agreement for the Smoky River Water Management Commission, in the amount of $3,870, for 2017.
Council also approved an administration agreement the Smoky River Waste Management Commission, in the amount of $9,200, for 2017.
Halloween curfew
Council approved a Halloween curfew, which will be for 9 p.m. on Oct. 31, for all under 18 years of age.
