Organized annually by Marilynne Brulotte, McLennan Christmas Expo took place at the McLennan Elks Hall on November 17.
Over a dozen vendors took part in the event, offering a diverse and unique lineup of items ideal for Christmas shopping.
Products on sale included Tupperware, crafts, scents, cosmetics, food and accessories.
Ecole Providence staff and parents prepared homemade beef barley, chicken noodle soup and sandwiches as a means to also raise money for the breakfast program.
Christmas Expo offered a $2 a ticket draw for an elaborate gift basket comprised of items donated by all vendors who took part in the Christmas Expo .
All proceeds from the tables rentals, the gift basket and the kitchen went to the Ecole Providence Breakfast Program.
The table rentals and the gift basket draw raised collectively $800 and the kitchen raised $220 with the overall event contributing $1,020 to the breakfast program.
“The money raised from Christmas Expo makes a huge difference to our breakfast program and I can’t emphasise enough how all of us at Ecole Providence really appreciate the hard work and commitment Marilynne put in to organizing the event,” says Providence Principal, Krista Veitch.
