On November 8, students and staff at Ecole Heritage honoured veterans and those who have passed on, as part of the school’s Remembrance Day service.

The event was held in the gym, opening with a march of the flags and several students put together the word ‘Paix’ or ‘Peace’ in French, on the wall. The word was made from several sheets of paper, with poppies depicted on each.

Here are a series of photos from that event, as well as two videos. Look a story and more photos in the November 14 edition of the Smoky River Express.

‘PAIX’ means ‘Peace’ in French. A group of students put this message on the gym wall as part of the Remembrance Day services.
