Holiday Schedule for staff was approved by council. Hours for Administration Office to be open will be Closed Monday Dec 24, 2018, Tuesday (Christmas Day) Dec 25, 2018 and (Boxing Day) Dec. 26th, 2018. Open Thursday Dec. 27th and Friday Dec. 28th, 2018. Closed Monday Dec. 31st, 2018, Tuesday January 1st, 2019 New Year’s Day. Return to regular hours January 2nd, 2019.

Curb Side Recycling
The contract with GFL (Green for Life) will end January 31, 2019. Council have accepted the Prairie Disposal proposal, for a one-year contract. This new contract will see the recycling rate increase by $2.00 per month, per unit.

Financial Software
Council have accepted the iCity proposal to replace the financial software that is being phased out. Donnelly was fortunate enough to use the original software since 1999.

Smoky River Regional Economic Development
The 2019 Budget for SRRED was approved by council.

Letter of Support Energy Efficiency Education Grant
Council will send a letter to the Town of Falher to support their grant application for the Energy Efficiency program. This grant application will support the Federations of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Climate Change staff grant.

2019 Interim Budget
Council approved the 2018 budget as the 2019 interim budget with adjustment to wages.
As members of the Alberta Bilingual Municipalities Association, the Conseil Dévelopment économique d’Alberta will provide council with funding to translate in French a few pages on our website and if funding allows, to advertise in the Alberta Tourism Guide for 2019-2020.

Smoky River FCSS Program Funding 2019
Council will send a letter of intent to continue to support Smoky River Family Community Support Services in 2019.

Tax Arrears Auction
Council will transfer the two properties that were not sold at auction, to municipalities name.
Two bylaws were passed with all 3 readings, the Fire Services Bylaw and the Appointment of an Assessor as Designated Officer.
