Once again, misforutune strikes one of our local couples in our small town.
Marcel and Val Viens’ house caught fire in the afternoon of July 3. The interior of the house and their belongs were destroyed.
However, a group of friends are rallying together to raise money, to help them replace some of their losses and start over again.
We are organizing a benefit dance for July 24, at the Knights of Columbus Hall (the Centre Chevaliers) in Falher.
There will be a silent auction for items donated by our generous businesses and individuals in the area. People are very receptive to help them out. Come and put your bids in.
The doors open at 7 p.m. and the band Classic Rewind (Norm Audet’s band) will be playing music, and Henry Roy will also play a few fiddle tunes during the evening. So bring your dancing shoes, should you wish to shake a leg.
Also during the evening, Lea Brochu will hold a live auction for some freshly baked goods.
Please come and support a good cause. Should you be unable to attend, but would like to make a donation, call (780) 837-0505.
