The Club des Pionniers in Donnelly required some door replacements this year and an Automated External Defibrillator is being considered for the building.

These were two items that outgoing President Lina Ouellette discussed as part of her report to the membership during their AGM at the club on April 22.

After receiving approval under the Community Initiatives Program of Alberta Culture and Tourism, the front door and pool room door were replaced by a local company in February.

As for the Automated External Defibrillator, Dave Champion explained that the Royal Canadian Legion in McLennan is considering the purchase of several. One could be provided to the Club des Pionniers if they’re interested.

Ouellette also noted the club held its Christmas dinner on Jan. 15, 2016, and a Seniors’ Fun Day was held there on March 10.

Other matters were handled during the AGM. Hilas Dion was the chairperson for the meeting.

Sue Champion read the minutes for the 2015 AGM, then they were accepted as presented.

Next, Annette Drouin read the treasurer’s report, which was also accepted as presented.

The election of officers was also held and they are:
. President Lucille Lapointe.
. Vice-president Dave Champion.
. Secretary Sue Champion.
. Treasurer Annette Drouin.

The board of directors was also elected:
. Cecile Turcotte for one year.
. Irene Lanctot for one year.
. Madeleine Dion for one year.
. Gilbert Maisonneuve for one year.
. Lucette Maisonneuve for two years.

A dinner was held prior to the meeting.
