McLennan Christmas Expo took place at the McLennan Elks Hall on November 18.

The event, organized by Marilynne Brulotte, had thirty vendors take part selling a diverse assortment of merchandise and offering a novel line up of items ideal for Christmas shopping including Tupperware, crafts, walking sticks, scents, cosmetics, teas, food and cooking accessories along with a variety of novel and original home-based and homemade initiatives.

Christmas Expo also offered a draw for $2 a ticket for an elaborate gift basket valued at $800.

All vendors taking part in the Christmas Expo donated an item to the basket. All proceeds from the tables, the gift basket and the kitchen went to the Ecole Providence Breakfast Program.

The tables raised $1,200, the gift basket $500 and the kitchen raised $130 with the overall event contributing $1,830 to the breakfast program.

We really appreciate the hard work and commitment Marilynne put in to organizing Christmas Expo and the substantial contribution she made to the school’s breakfast program,” says Providence Principal, Krista Veitch.

Due to the success of the McLernnan Christmas Expo event Marilynne Brulotte is anticipating putting on a similar event sometime in the spring, possible in April.
