Get your staff or community group together.

Use your imagination and create a bee mobile to compete in the 2016 non-motorized cart race. Teams will race against each other through a bee-themed obstacle course, performing different bee-related tasks.

The fastest team to complete the race with all the items collected along the way will be the winner. Team work will play an important part of getting through the course for the best overall time.

Rules

All vehicles must have wheels (i.e., shopping carts, wagons, wheel barrows, etc.). All teams must have three people (one rider and two to push or pull). The vehicle cannot be motorized.

Register your team by 4 p.m. on June 3. A minimum of six teams is required for this event to take place.

Call (780) 837-2247, ext. 102 for more information. Or send an email to Soleille Briand at recreation@town.falher.ab.ca.

Five- and 10-km walk/run for Fort McMurray

The 2016 Falher Honey Festival will include five- and 10-km fun run, as well as a 1.8 km “come for the stroll,” on June 18.

Al Singer, the race director, says the money raised from the event would be donated to the Fort McMurray relief efforts.
