A good time was had by all whom attended and participated in this year’s annual farmers curling bonspiel.

Curlers from 13 different teams enjoyed battling it out on the ice.

With the Olympics underway we decided to host our own mini Olympics on Saturday night.

Some of the Olympic events that the curlers and spectators competed in were snowboarding, bobsledding, and ice hockey.

The lucky winner of our mini Olympics was Edna Boisvert, winning two tickets to the 2018 Grey Cup being hosted in Edmonton this fall.

For those of you watching the Olympics and wondering where this mixed-doubles format comes from.

It’s a very popular format in Europe and Canada was one of the last countries to buy into this format.

We believe those that do try this format of curling do end up really liking it.

Therefore, next year we hope to introduce this format into the club and have people try it out.

Stay tuned for more details for next season.
