Stolen Property Recovered in Peace River Alberta

On Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018, at approximately 03:00 hrs. Peace River RCMP members were conducting foot patrol in the North end of Peace River.

An Officer approached a suspicious person inside of a vehicle and found the driver to be wanted on warrants. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen one week prior.

The male was arrested and is facing charges of Possession of Property obtained by Crime x 2 as well as several Provincial Traffic Offences.

On May 18, 2018 Peace Regional RCMP responded to a complaint of a break and enter to a holiday trailer in the North end of Peace River. Peace Regional RCMP with the assistance of the Peace River Forensic Identification Services completed a scene examination.

The investigation revealed evidence which led police to a nearby residence where two females were arrested on unrelated matters.

A judicial authorization was granted and RCMP executed a search warrant on the property which resulted in the recovery numerous stolen items from recent thefts in the North end of town.

Charges of break, enter and theft, possession of stolen property under $5000, mischief under $5000 and resisting arrest x 2 have been laid against two local females.Peace Regional RCMP
