Major Crimes North RCMP lays new charges in Peace Regional Homicide Investigation

Peace River, Alberta – RCMP Major Crime’s North has laid several new charges in their investigation into the homicide of Lawrence Robert Butt (20) dating back to May 17, 2017.

Kyle Dubroy-Clement (24) of Peace River who is already facing charges pertaining to this investigation is now facing additional new Criminal Code charges of Manslaughter with a firearm, Robbery with a firearm, and Break & Enter. Bail was not spoken to and Dubroy-Clement has been remanded into custody and was to appear in Peace River Provincial Court on April 23, 2018.

New charges have been laid against 20 year old Paige Eileen Burkenshaw of Grande Prairie. She is facing Criminal Code charges of Manslaughter with a firearm, and Robbery with a firearm. She was remanded into custody to appear in Peace River Provincial Court via CCTV on April 23, 2018.

Additional details will not be provided at this time by the RCMP given that this matter is before the courts, however, should new information become available an updated media release will be issued.
