Diane Chiasson is inviting the public to attend a meeting regarding the articles of incorporation for a proposed childcare facility in the Smoky River region.
The meeting, being held in conjunction with Smoky River Family and Community Support Services, will take place in the council chamber at the Town of Falher office, beginning at noon on July 10.
“We have enough people to do the incorporation of the Societe,” says Chiasson, who works for Smoky River Regional Economic Development.
But more people will be required to help establish the board of directors and other matters. Hence, Chiasson would like to see as many people at the July 10 meeting as possible.
Once the Societe is established, she can proceed with fundraising and applying for grants.
Chiasson has held several meetings since January to assess the need for childcare service in the region. This included an completing an online survey.
