On June 16, 2018, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report of an overnight break-in to a vehicle that had been parked in the parking lot of a business on Sunrise Road in Northern Sunrise County.
Subsequent investigation revealed that a lone suspect drove into the parking lot at approximately 1 a.m., where the victim’s pickup truck had been parked. The suspect forced their way into the parked vehicle and took a number of items from inside.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect motor vehicle, which is believed to have be related to the incident. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a two-tone maroon and grey, quad-cab pickup truck. The centre window in the back may be covered with cardboard and duct tape.
