Peace Regional RCMP charge male youth for uttering threats

Peace River, Alberta – A 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged after alleged threats were posted to social media.

On November 10, 2018, Peace Regional RCMP received a complaint of threats that were posted online that were of concern to the safety of staff and students at the Glenmary High School.

RCMP investigated and identified the suspect. A 15-year-old male from Peace River, who is not a student at the school has been arrested and is facing charges of uttering threats.

Investigation has determined there is no threat to the school and all schools are currently open to staff and students.

Safety of staff and students at local schools remains a priority for Peace Regional RCMP. Threats of any nature are taken seriously and RCMP will take immediate action to ensure the safety of the public.

As this matter is now before the courts no further information will be provided.

Missing person from McLennan is located
Last week, the McLennan RCMP Detachment issued a missing persons report for 29-year-old Jack Dillon Ward.
However, Ward has been found safe.
