
A free concert held at Riverfront Park June 15 celebrated Peace River’s centennial with live bands, bouncy castles, free food and more. The event was organized by the Peace River centennial committee and is just one of several events being held to celebrate the town’s 100th year.
The Brad Lynch Band is a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. A young girl gets her face painted. A farmer’s market was held at Athabasca Hall at the same time as the free concert in the park. The spray from a fire hose was a welcome way too cool off in the hot sunny weather. Amira and her pup Leo enjoy the day’s events. Photos of Peace River from many years ago on the gazebo prompted people to share memories of how the town once was.
