Cornick headed to Glenmary

Holy Family Catholic Regional Division [HFCRD] has announced three appointments effective this fall.
Victoria Cornick will be the principal at Peace River Glenmary School and Holy Family CyberHigh, also in Peace River. She is currently the principal of Good Shepherd School in Peace River. She replaces David Amiot who is moving to another school.
After earning her Bachelor of Education from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Cornick started her career with Holy Family in 2005. She and her husband, Kerry, moved to Valleyview from Newfoundland where she taught at St. Stephen’s School for eight years, including two years as an assistant principal.
In 2013, Cornick became the principal of Holy Family School in Grimshaw.
In 2014, Cornick graduated with a Master’s degree in Educational Studies from the University of Alberta and in 2020, she transferred to Good Shepherd School.

Veitch transfers to Grimshaw

Krista Veitch who will be the new principal of Good Shepherd School in Peace River.
Veitch is transferring from Holy Family School in Grimshaw where she was principal for the last school year. She was also the principal of Ecole Providence School in McLennan from 2014-20.
Veitch brings years of teaching and administrative experience to the position.
“Throughout her time with HFCRD, Krista has become a confident leader who led Ecole Providence School through its growth in recent years and then led Holy Family School throughout most of the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Supt. Betty Turpin.
Veitch graduated from Memorial University in Newfoundland and began her teaching career in 1999. She moved to Alberta in 2012 to teach at St. Stephen’s School in Valleyview. She was the principal of Ecole Providence for the past six years. During that time, she earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. In 2020, she became principal of Holy Family School.

Acting principal role for Anderson

Jennifer Anderson will be the acting principal of Holy Family School in Grimshaw during the 2021-22 year.
Anderson brings 20 years of teaching experience to the position and has been part of the Holy Family School and Holy Family Parish since 2004.
Anderson was vice-principal of Holy Family School in Grimshaw since 2015 so she is very familiar with the school and community.
“Jennifer has been a strong member of the Holy Family School community for many years. She will be an excellent leader for the school,” says Supt. Betty Turpin.
After earning her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta in 2001, she moved up north to McLennan for her first teaching position at École Providence School. After three years, she moved to Grimshaw to join the staff at Holy Family School. She has been the vice-principal at Holy Family School since the fall of 2015.
