Photographers are invited to submit photos for display in the new Grande Prairie Regional Hospital now under construction.
Alberta Health Services (AHS) welcomes inspiring photos that demonstrate the diversity of the region that the hospital will serve, says an AHS news release.
Photos must be submitted by July 12.
Submitted photos might be printed as wall graphics – from three- to nine-feet tall – and adorn public areas, waiting rooms and lounge spaces at the new hospital.
Photographers are encouraged to look for interesting angles, lighting situations, close-up macro shots and other creative viewpoints.
Images can explore nature, landscapes, skyscapes, seasons, landmarks, innovation, recreation, cultural activities, stages of life, concepts of care and wellness, among other ideas.
Photographers retain copyright to their submitted photographs.
By participating in the contest, all photographers grant AHS the non-exclusive right to use, reproduce and modify their submitted photographs for exhibition purposes.
Modification includes scaling, cropping or altering the colour of the images as required.
Submissions need to be:
-Available as original, high-resolution digital photos, and shot with a resolution of 300 dots per inch (DPI).
-Taken in the area to be served by the new hospital.
-Submitted by the photographer or with the photographer’s permission.
-JPEG or TIFF file format.
While colour correction and tonal cast changes are acceptable, photo alterations, including manipulation of the composition and added watermarks or signatures will not be considered.
