McLennan Legion wishes to hear from people interested in European Battlefields Tour, 2019

The McLennan Legion Branch 153 is looking at organizing a Guided Canadian Battle Fields Tour of northern Europe in 2019.

Certain factors, including the number of people interested in participating and the duration of the tour, will determine if the trip takes place and the price of participating.

The organizers of the proposed trip are interested in gauging the number of people interested in the tour and finding out what preferences people may have regarding sites to visit, in order to determine the feasibility of the project and establish a final itinerary.

While open to suggestions of those who plan to participate, the final itinerary will likely include such sites as the Imperial War Museum in London, Paris, Juno Beach, several war cemeteries, Dieppe, Caen – Falaise, Vimy Ridge, Ypres – Menin Gate Memorial, Verrieres Ridge, Anne Frank Hideout in Amsterdam, Munich and Dachau.

For those interested in participating in the tour or with particular suggestions regarding the itinerary, write to Canadian Battle Fields Tour, McLennan Legion #153, Box 417 McLennan AB, T0H 2L0 or contact Francis Lessard at 780-536-6672.
