Smoky River Emergency Services received 19 calls for service in November.

They are broken down as follows:

. 10 medical calls.
. Five monitored alarms.
. One fire.
. One call for investigation.
. Two motor vehicle collisions.

Fire Chief Marcel Maure highlighted this as part of his report to the M.D. council, during their meeting on December 12.

Maure also noted the Smoky Emergency Response Team Society held their Evening of Elegance on November 3 and it was a great success.

Finally, the fire department continues to hold medical practices, building familiarity and fire pre-planning meetings.

There is also a focus on firefighter mental fitness and firefighter resilience.
