The Falher Curling Club’s new season will start in a few weeks, which will include several bon spiels.
These were among the issues dealt with at the Falher Curling Club’s annual general meeting. It was held upstairs in the Falher Regional Recreation Complex in the evening of Nov. 1.
On Mondays, the Learn to Curl program will take place from 7-8 p.m. The junior development program will be held on Tuesdays evenings from 6-7 p.m., and the fun league will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. the same night.
Wednesday will be open, and the the super league will be held on Thursday nights.
As for the bon spiels, a 2-on-2 funspiel, a men’s and ladies event, and the Farmers and Merchants event are being planned. Watch for announcements later.
During the meeting, Charles Simoneau read the treasurer’s report and it was accepted as presented.
The board also passed a motion to reduce the required number of members from nine to seven.
Continuing their three-year terms are Alain Blanchette, Charles Simoneau, Marc Boisvert, Sam Leger, Michel Leger, Stephanie Boire and Roy Boivin.
Two new members serving one-year terms are Dani Young and Amanda Gardecki.
